We love New York - the energy, diversity, and culture - and that inspires us to share it with the world through walking tours, vacation planning, and educational videos. We think of our guests as family. We only bring you to the places that we love and visit ourselves.  

Funky Experiences was started in 2019 by Sarah Funk, an NYC expert, YouTuber, and guide. After creating travel videos about visiting NYC, she noticed that many viewers were requesting tours, and soon she started a tourism company highlighting the best of the city from a local perspective.    

In 2020, the pandemic hit, but that did not stop us from sharing the city we love! We took our tours virtual and soon were bringing 800 people a week through the streets of NYC on YouTube live.    

Our tours have won TripAdvisor's "Best of the Best" award 3 years running because they continuously exceeded guests' expectations and only received 5-star reviews. That year, we decided to help people visiting NYC in a deeper way and launched our vacation planning and concierge services. Now, we could not only help you have a fun time in person through a tour but could also plan your entire experience!
